Doers, not consultants
Buho Advisors is a technology advisory boutique founded in 2025 in Uruguay. We work with boards and CEOs across the Americas — initially from Uruguay into Argentina, Paraguay and the United States. Selective by design: 10 companies actively engaged since inception. We combine real operational experience with academic rigor to deliver practical, independent and long-term advice.
Our purpose
To help boards turn technology into a sustained competitive advantage. We are not consultants — we are doers. We have created and scaled multiple technology companies from scratch — some bootstrapped, others with investment — in dozens of countries. We combine that real experience with strong academic credentials (MBA and PhD) to deliver strategic, independent and deeply practical advice.
"Real experience. Strategic vision."
Where we are and who we serve
Operations are based in Uruguay. Our reach is the Americas: we actively work with clients in Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay and the United States, plus companies with distributed operations in the region.
Two client profiles where we deliver the most value:
- Mid-sized private companies whose boards need world-class technology vision — to decide on digital transformation, AI, cybersecurity and modernization with external, independent judgment.
- Growth-stage startups where founders and CEOs need long-term entrepreneurial perspective from someone who has already built, scaled and sold tech companies.
Team recognitions
Members of the Buho Advisors team have received national and international recognitions for their work, including:
- Uruguay National Innovation Award.
- Global Award for Excellence in BPM — Chicago, USA.

Why selective
We are a boutique by conviction. Before committing to a new client, we run an Initial Assessment to validate fit on goals, culture and expectations. Real impact happens when the relationship is win–win and there is time to go deep. So we prefer few engagements, done well.
